This weekend saw 6 Extra Inning games with one of those becoming the Milwaukee Brewers’ first Extra Inning game of the season and boy was it a doozy. The Brewers became the final team to go to extras and they played an entirely new game going 18 innings. From the 9th inning on, the Mets and Brewers both used 6 pitchers with Zamora and Albers pitching on Sunday as well.
Ties would eliminate the bullpen usage and lower the pitch stress on Zamora and Albers as more pitchers would’ve been available for Sunday’s follow-up game. However, here are the updated standings utilizing ties and wins.
