With Week 1 of the NFL season right around the corner, I figured I’d get out some early bets that i really like before the lines start to move too much. Cheers, go make that money!
Philadelphia Eagles v Atlanta Falcons (Atlanta +3.5)
I really love Atlanta to cover 3.5 here. I wouldn’t be surprised if Atlanta wins outright but not confident enough for the Atlanta moneyline. Wentz is nursing his ACL injury from last season. Between Wentz and Foles, both QBs have split reps at training camp and practice, meaning that neither QB has really had “full time” with his players.

Houston Texans v New England Patriots (New England -6.5)
The Patriots cover spreads. Simple as that. The greatest QB of all time is one year older, but he is still the GOAT. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy Houston’s team, a healthy Watson coming back, a stud in Deandre Hopkins. Teams have no idea how to plan for the Patriots run game with so many different options they have in the backfield including the much talked about Sony Michel. Rob Gronkowski is almost a guaranteed touchdown per game player. New England also highly improved their defense this offseason, take New England to cover 6.5 points.
Dallas Cowboys @ Carolina Panthers (Over 42)
Neither Dallas or Carolina has a very tough defense. Don’t get me wrong, they are decent, but nothing to really have to make a new gameplan for. Cam Newton, Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot and Christian McCaffrey, those are some big names and every one of them knows how to score touchdowns in the NFL fairly regularly. This over/under is the second lowest in the entire NFL week 1. I’ll take the over.
