UFC 230: Daniel Cormier v Derrick Lewis

Well, UFC 229 has come and gone, and holy hell, it did not disappoint. Khabib v McGregor was everything we could’ve asked for and more with the post fight shenanigans. Derrick Lewis coming back and knocking out Volkov in the last 10 seconds of the match. Also, the absolute bloodbath between Tony Ferguson and Anthony Pettis. Derrick Lewis put himself on the map and gave himself and even bigger name with his knockout win against the huge Russian Volkov. His post fight interview had everyone talking and laughing. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out below.

UFC has just announced that Derrick Lewis will be taking on Daniel Cormier in UFC 230. According to ESPN’s rankings, Daniel Cormier is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Holding a record of 21-1 and also holding the heavyweight belt. Vegas has Daniel Cormier as a massive favorite to win this fight, opening up the line at Cormier -800 and Derrick Lewis +500. If you weren’t lucky enough to see the Derrick Lewis and Alexander Volkov fight, the highlights are below. Volkov had Lewis dead to right the entire fight. It was over. With less than 20 seconds to go in the match. Lewis caught Volkov right on the chin with a vicious right hook. Volkov dropped and Lewis smelled blood. Jumped on top of him and threwq a few more power blows that landed, the fight was called and Lewis had won. Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis now has a date with the UFC Heavyweight champion on November 3rd in Madison Square Gardens. Good luck to him and Cormier.
