That’s all Folks. 2 strong runs have come to an end. There are no longer any undefeated teams left. Both the Houston Astros and the Minnesota Twins lost their undefeated seasons come to an end on the same day. Houston took their streak to the 14th inning until Mike Moustoukas busted the door open and Minnesota rallied to get to the 10th but couldn’t produce a winning run.
As 2 teams saw their positive streaks end, we also saw a negative streak come to an abrupt halt as the the Cleveland Indians ended their winless Extra Inning streak end last Tuesday against Cincinnati. They improve their EI record to 1-3 now. The win also might’ve been the hump a struggling Indians team needed as they have improved their record to 36-31-4 over the last week.
With Pittsburgh‘s EI loss to the Braves on Wednesday, the Pirates are now tied at 6-4 with the Arizona Diamondbacks in Extras.
The best record as of today goes to the Seattle Mariners at 5-1 in Extras.
Only 2 teams remain winless in the MLB with the White Sox and Dodgers holding strong at 0-1 and 0-2 records, respectively.
I can’t wait for what the next week will bring. Let the games begin.
