Braves looking to Clinch

As many eyes will be focused on Week 4 of College Football or whether Tiger can continue playing well, I’ll be at SunTrust Park as the Braves look to clinch a playoff spot and win the NL East for the first time since 2013.

Braves fans have endured much hardship throughout the 4 year drought that saw the Braves lose, 83, 95, 93, and 90 games.  When Mike Foltynewicz (11-10) takes the mound Saturday afternoon the Braves will look to win their 87th game of the season and clinch the NL East.

It won’t be easy as they face Jake Arrieta (10-9) who looks to do everything he can to keep the Phillies in contention.  Rotowire.com has the starting lineups as below:

It is shaping up to be a pitchers duel between 2 of the better pitchers in the NL as well as 2 of the top pitchers for both teams.

The game is a big test to see how the Braves could fair in the playoffs with something on the line with the ability to clinch.  It’ll be interesting to see how the young guys handle the moment and the spotlight.  It should be a fun one at SunTrust Park and a good reason to watch baseball while college football rules the television.

Go Braves and #ChopOn.
